One's past does not define their future.

Instilling HOPE

Our mission at Mirror, Inc is to strengthen people and communities by helping individuals cultivate hope and redefine their lives. This podcast is sponsored by Mirror, Inc, and we believe this platform to spread hope and resources to those who need it most fits very well within our organizational mission.

Our Guests

We rotate between those who have been through the justice system, and those with careers involving reentry. Frequently, you will hear both categories of guests overlap! It is so impactful when others help lead the way after walking in the same shoes. It is our goal to give everyone a voice and be as inclusive as possible. We want to hear from you!

Dispelling Myths

A point we make often is reentry is happening every single minute of the day. For those not serving a life sentence, these justice-involved individuals will be returning to the community. To break the cycle of incarceration, if they succeed, we all do.

Resource Sharing

How do you get information and community resources to be accessible for all? We hope our podcast will be accessed by individuals still completing their term of incarceration, but also community members who might be opposed to second chances.

Your Past Does Not Define You

Reentry is very future-oriented. If your past defines you, what message does this show to our children and future generations? We are all fallible humans, and we all have the potential for redemption. Successful reentry means instead of going back to prison or jail, an individual obtains gainful employment, housing, reintegrates with family, and develops a prosocial support network in the community.
